During The State Historical Museum’s excursion you will learn the history of the Museum and its splendid collection. Within a couple of hours you will admire various exhibits, starting from the first men sites to the early 20th century ones. You will see different items used by human beings all through the history. State Historical Museum is a prime example of Pseudo-Russian architecture, built in 1875-81. Whereas the exterior is cluttered with medieval- style pinnacles and chevrons – as if to compete with St Basil`s – the interior is rationally laid out, with plenty of light let in through the large windows in the air wells. There are exhibits of archeology from prehistoric days up to the founding of the Russian State.
