Day 1 |
Meeting at the train station of the city of Petrozavodsk. Breakfast in a city cafe. Gear, safety techniques instruction. “Signaller’s Path” itinerary commencement.
Special strip of land for authentic rough terrain driving “Signaller’s Path” - comprises 12 kilometres of seemingly impassable roads, clay tracks, 3 fords and marshes. The record for crossing the area was set in 2003 by sportsmen from St. Petersburg – 2 hours 32 minutes. Average time on the road – from 5 to 8 hours. Lunch on the way. Crossing of Syamosyoro lake (70 êì). Break on the sandy shore of the lake. Dinner and lodging for the night under canvas. |

Camp-fire breakfast. Day itinerary commencement: Syamozyoro – Kudama – Inzhnavolok – Vekshelitsa – Ignoyla – H’yursyulya – Kolatsel’ga (80êì). Visit to Kolatselskie Caves. Lunch on the way. Dinner and lodging for the night under canvas. |

Camp-fire breakfast. Day itinerary commencement: Kolatselga – Orus’yarvi – Kanabra – Great Mountains – Pogrankondushi. Trip to the Varashev Stone – 1618 border landmark between Russia and Sweden (100 êì). Lunch on the way. Dinner and lodging for the night under canvas. |

Camp-fire breakfast. Day itinerary commencement: Pogrankondushi – Salmi – Novaya Tulema – Syus’kyuyarvi – “White Bridges” Waterfall (90 êì). Lunch on the way. Dinner and lodging for the night under canvas. |

Camp-fire breakfast. Day itinerary commencement: “White Bridges” waterfall – Tolvoyarvi lake (80 êì). Lunch on the way. Dinner and lodging for the night under canvas. |

Camp-fire breakfast. Day itinerary commencement: Tolvoyarvi – Pitsi’yoki – Petrozavodsk (210 êì). Lunch on the way. Visit to the “Akvatika” water sports centre. Transfer to the train station. |

Kolatselskie Caves |
Under Peter the Great, the Tulmozerskiy iron manufacturing factory used to be located here. Its ruins remain. Opposite the village, on the other bank of the Kolás river, are caves, from where ore was taken for the factory’s construction site. As a result, the land around the former factory is pierced with caves and underground passages.

Orus’yarvi |
According to legend, around 800 years ago a monastery of Orus’yarvi was situated on the site of the present modern country church. Russian believers say that Orus’yarvi is the most sacred place along the entire Finnish coast. St. Nicolas is its saint patron.

Varashev Stone |
A border between Sweden and Russia was established in 1617 by the Stolbovsky Peace Treaty. Its water frontier was indicated by a landmark called “Varashev Stone”, which is currently a unique historical monument. The two-meter high stone of pink granite is clearly visible from the shore as well as from the waters of the lake Ladoga.

“White Bridges” Waterfall |
“White Bridges” is one of the highest waterfalls in Karelia. The sight is breathtaking – two waterfalls about 19 ì high are hidden from the visitors’ eyes in the rocky canyon.

“Tolvoyarvi” Land Reserve |
This area’s unique landscape was formed by a glacier. The itinerary route lies along the ancient roads surrounded by picturesque lakes and pine trees.
