Trans - Siberian Railway

The tour gives a unique chance to see the immense Russian spaciousness with grand rivers and huge forests, to enjoy beautiful views of natural landscapes, to meet different people, to observe different cultures.

 Ulaan-Baatar – Irkutsk – Lystvyanka – Novosibirsk – Moscow

        ( Moscow – Novosibirsk – Irkutsk – Lystvyanka – Ulaan -Baatar )

Mongolia

Day 1

Arrive in Ulaan-Baatar, meeting with guide and transfer to hotel, accommodation. Lunch.

City tour with visit to Gandan Monastery and Zaisan hill to observe the city view. Drive for lunch to the Terelj park (70 km). Visit to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. Drive back to Ulaan-Baatar. Dinner with folklore show and overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast. Excursion to National history museum. After the museum drive to Dugana Had resort which is situated in the picturesque mountain valley. Stop at Ovoo a pile of stones built as a landmark for worship at the mountain pass. Visit nomadic family on the way. After lunch, the resort offers horseback riding (including) and optional activities such as archery shooting, horse cart riding around resort and trekking. (Paid locally) Overnight in ger.

Day 3

Breakfast. Transfer to the railway station and departure to Irkutsk.

Baikal region

Day 4

In the afternoon arrive in Irkutsk. City tour: The Church of Our Savior, Decembrists` Museum, river Angara, the old houses made of wood and the city market. Dinner. Accommodation at the “Sun Hotel” (****). Overnight.

Day 5

Breakfast. The whole day trip by Old Round Baikal Railway on tourist train. Lunch box at the train. Late at night return back to Irkutsk. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 6

Breakfast. Excursion to the Baikal lake. Visiting “Taltcy” museum of wooden architecture.

Continue by bus further to typical Siberian village of Listvyanka. Picnic on the shore of lake Baikal. Departure to the boat station to board comfortable ship for 3-hours boat ride on the lake. Visiting Old Round Baikal Railway. On return back by hydrofoil to Listvyanka

Accommodation at the hotel “Anastasia” (****).Dinner back at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 7

Breakfast. Ethnographic trip to Ust-Orda Buryat National Disctrict located at the distance of 75 km from Irkutsk. The trip will enable to learn the culture, customs and ways of life of the Siberia’s native people - the Buryats. Excursion to the Buryat Ethnic Museum in Ust-Orda, the Buryat folklore show. Lunch of Buryat National cuisine. Go back to Irkutsk. Accommodation at the “Sun Hotel” (****). Dinner. Overnight.

Day 8

Breakfast. Excursion to the Decembrist museum. Visiting the central city market.

Lunch at the downtown restaurant. Transfer to the railway station. Departure to Novosibirsk Night in train.

Novosibirsk

Day 9

All day in train. In the evening arrive in Novosibirsk.

Transfer to the Hotel SIBIR (***). Dinner in the Hotel. Overnight.

Day 10

Breakfast . Full day city tour and excursion by ship in the river Ob. Visit the theatre of Opera, the biggest in the world as a construction and Ascension Cathedral.Lunch in Siberian tavern.

In the afternoon visit Akademgorodok with its Geologic museum at Geology Research center and Open-Air Old train museum. Dinner. Transfer to the railway station for the train to Moscow. Night in train.

Day 11

All day in train, night in train.

Moscow

Day 12

Arrive in Moscow. Transfer to Cosmos 4* hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 13

Breakfast. City tour, excursion to the Kremlin with 3 Cathedral. Lunch. Free time. Dinner.

Day 14

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
